Continuous improvement is usually impossible to maintain without a structured management system in place.
In 1999, ESAB became the first supplier of welding products with an ISO 14001 certified production unit, and in the beginning of 2006 ESAB achieved a group-wide ISO 14001 certification of our Environmental Management System. While many thousands of companies around the world have already achieved ISO 14001 certification somewhere, ESAB is one of very few global companies to have achieved ISO 14001:2004 certification everywhere. This is believed to be a world first for the welding and cutting industry. The scope of the group certificate comprises design, development, production, sales and services of welding and cutting products.
